Deactivate your Threads profile. This will temporarily remove your profile from the Threads app, but your data will still be stored on Instagram's servers
Open the Threads app. Tap the three dots in the top right corner of your profile. Tap Deactivate profile.
Delete your Instagram account. This will permanently delete your Threads account as well as your Instagram account. To do this, follow these steps:
Open the Instagram app. Tap your profile icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
Tap Settings. Tap Account. Tap Delete account.
If you delete your Threads profile, you will not be able to restore it. If you delete your Instagram account, you will be able to create a new one with the same username, but your Threads data will be lost.
